The Humber Learning Outcomes framework is comprised of skills and mindsets identified by faculty, staff, students and industry partners as being critical to the career and life success of our graduates. Across more than 20 consultations, sustainability was consistently brought up as an essential concept to understand and embody by the future workforce.
Sustainability, along with Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Systems Thinking and Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing and Doing, is crucial to the well-being and prosperity of individuals and communities. Humber sees its graduates embody a sustainability mindset by:
Thinking and acting with collective futures in mind. As sustainability-minded individuals, Humber graduates lead by example. They promote equitable and sustainable practices in their professional and personal lives. They act responsibly in environmental, economic and social ways that protect our planet and contribute positively to the well-being of our communities” (Humber Learning Outcomes).
